Happy 50th Birthday Sis!!

Happy 50th Birthday to my dear sister, Louise!  I've scheduled this post as I  should be celebrating with her in her holiday home in France for a few days!  I'm sure we will be having some lovely girlie time, as I've left the hubster at home!
I made the sentiment myself and used some Craftwork Cards papers for my background.  There's also a few Marianne dies there as below:
Large Heart Die - LR1225
Leaf Swirls - LR0271
Tassells - LR0391
Other bits and pieces from stash.  Hope you're enjoying your weekend whatever you're doing!

Feeling sheepish!

This was made with a Hobbyart stamp set - I just love the world weariness of these sheep!  Didn't really need to do much - coloured the image with Promarkers and framed him/her using a Marianne die - Passe-Partout Round- CR1239.

I added papers from Kaisercraft for the lakeland fell vibe, and the main sentiment is from Whimsy stamps.
Made for my Dad's birthday back in October xx

Heart Christmas cards cased from Craft Stamper magazine

If you are a fan of Craft Stamper magazine, you may have seen a canvas this month using embossing powders and this design!  I just loved using the idea for some Christmas cards and these are what I came up with.   (Lots of pics, be warned!)
I had an MDF heart which I used as a template to make my paper ones ( thinking of cost/posting).  The swirly circles are a Tim Holtz die( the article used melted embossing powerd to make them), and a Woodware, primitive star-shaped punch.  I mixed and matched my Frantage embossing powders, and also used a couple of Marianne Stamps to add some texture, or a Stampin Up script stamp. For the image above, the stamp is a basket weave stamp, MM1603 from Matiannes' Eline's Mixed Media range. I used Silver Pearl embossing powder to keep it subtle.
I love the rusted vibe here with Aged Copper Frantage.  I started using Treasured Gold Sapphire wax on the stars, and got some on the card surface.  However, as with all accidents, I liked the effect and added some to all the cards!  I think it looks a little celestial!

Anyway, hope you like, and don't forget to check out the original article in November 2016 Craft Stamper magazine, so inspirational!

Thanks for looking, Juliexxx

November Blog Hop with Mo's Dream Team thank you very much!

Yep, the penultimate hop of the year, here with us on Mo's Dream Team, with a great theme of Thank You chosen by our lovely Lou!  So, that is where you should have started the hop, otherwise you should have made your way here from Gretha's blog.
I've chosen Grace and The Owl for my card, such an adorable scene! I then just had to use this new die set from Marianne Designs - the Holly Wreath and little branches and cones!  Love it, and it comes with a little cardinal bird.  Full list of Marianne loveliness below:

Silver Selection Holly Wreath - CR1387
Distressed Edge Square - CR1375
Reindeer - LR0179
Paper - love this midnight blue tree scene!
You may also have noticed the little berries that I used - well they started like this, just little polystyrene balls that I bought years ago from a charity shop and really useful at this time of year for snow scenes and the like. The pic below is just a small portion that I put in a container for ease of use (I have bags of them!)

I then discovered by accident, when using a heat gun to do some embossing, that of course they melt!  But, I actually like they way the look after heating as they look a little more aged, natural if you know what I mean!
The main sentiment is Lili of The Valley which I stamped on to a bit of corrugated card to go with the rustic feel.
Well now it's time to send you on to the blog of my lovely matey, Debby.

Here's the Blog Hop run in case you lost on the way......

Don't forget there are two $5 gift vouchers to spend in Mo's shop to be drawn from the participating Dream Team Designers comments so... make sure you pop in and comment on everyone's post for the blog hop to be in with the chance to win!!!

Hugs and Happy Hopping

Christmas is Coming at PFP - are you ready!!! (Also a DT Call!)

Morning, it's my turn to choose the theme for  this week's challenge at Passion for Promarkers and I've chosen Christmas is Coming!  I've still a long way to go to reach my target for Christmas cards so I'm always pleased to add another one.  I also started my Christmas shopping proper yesterday, so while I'm a long way from ready, I am getting there!!
Anyway, we want to see any sort of Christmas make as long as you use your Promarkers, Flexmarkers etc.
I love this newer image from Mo's Digital Pencil, she's called Skater s as this one is the straight haired version. (She also comes in a curly-haired version here.)
As you can see, I had those red pens out - using Rosewood (Flexmarker), Lipstick Red and Rose Peach. For the fur, I used Verdigris, Polar Blue and Grey Green.
I also had my Marianne stash out (of course!) - the skates die was made for this image!!  List of Marianne stuff used below:

Skates Die: - LR0247
Star Dies: - CR1226
Sentiment stamp - Handlettering set - EC0156
Ice Blue Dazzlers

My papers are mostly Tim Holtz and I cut the sentiment with a Stampin Up punch.

My teamies at PFP have made some wonderful, inspiring makes for this week's theme, thank you ladies, so do check them out here at PFP HQ.  And, have you seen our DT call for all you lovers of Promarkers and their sister products out there!!  Come and join us, we're a lovely bunch!

Lastly, we have a great sponsor this week, 2 cute ink, and they are offering the lucky winner 2 digital images as the prize!

That's all for now folks, I'm off to make more Christmas Cards!!

Frost by Mo

Happy weekend blogland, it's been a cold week, here and lots of snow on the mountains. Hubby walked up Skiddaw yesterday and said there was plenty up there!  Think I'll settle for a little bit of Frost which is what this adorable image is called from Mo's Digital Pencil. I used a single sheet of paper from a Bo Bunny pad and love the ombre colour scheme - just perfect for creating a winter scene.

My scene was created using the following Marianne Dies - the treeline and fence dies are just great for getting some perspective in a scene:

Treeline Pine Trees: CR1287
Winter Village and Fence set: CR1288
Small foreground Christmas Tree: LR0136
Large foreground Spar Tree: LR0378
Grass die 1: CR1355
Grass die 2: LR0360
Rabbit (from Rabbit and Squirrel set): CR1340

Hopefully, I might get some more Christmas cards made today, I really need to up the output at the minute!!
Have a lovely weekend, everyone,

Hugs, Juliexx

MDF Christmas Tags/Decorations with Marianne Dies

Afternoon blogland.  Just popping in to share a couple of MDF tags that I decorated for my Craft stall last weekend.  I painted the tags first to create a crackle effect and then used some wonderful Marianne Designs poinsettia, mistletoe and holly leaf  Dies, details below:

Poinsettia Set one: LR0121
Poinsettia Set two: LR0122
Holly Leaves: LR0244

The teeny pine cone sprigs are from my garden and there's some scrim, holly ribbon and bells to match. Oh and plenty of Aged Ivory. and Shabby White and Shabby Blue Frantage,
My craft room is a tip and I must tidy it up before I start on something new, but I don't know where to start!!

New Challenge at Mo's Digital Pencil Too - always Anything Goes!

Hi there - have you seen that a new challenge has started today over on Mo's Digital Pencil Too Challenge Blog?

Well, I've been busy making little Christmas Houses for a craft market this weekend, and thought that one of Mo's little carolers would be a perfect addition to this one.  I've used Victoria Caroling and shrunk her right down so she looks reasonably  in proportion - the beauty of digi images eh!!
And these teeny, tiny versions take no time to colour up either!

I'll have a pic soon of my new village, so watch this space.
Do come and join in our challenge, you could win a $5 voucher to spend here in Mo's Store!

Tweetmas Wishes - Christmas Birdie challenge at PFP

Morning!  Its seems appropriate today to be sharing a Christmas card with you - 1st November and it's definitely turned much colder here!  Our new challenge starting at PFP today, is called  Tweetmas Wishes as chosen by our fabulous Hazel, so she wants to see some birdies in your Christmas   Creations.  I've used an image from our sponsor, All Dressed Up, and it's called It's Snowing.

As you can see, I've created a Snow Globe effect with my card, which wasn't what I started out to do but that's what the making process is all about, right.  I've actually coloured the image behind the snowman with my Promarkers, (Midnight Blue, Hearthtstone, April Showers, in case you wanted to know!) and mounted it on this similiarly coloured background.  Probably could just as well cut out Mr Snowman and used the paper for the inside of the globe but hey ho!  I cut our the snowglobe base myself and then used Shabby White Frantage to make my falling snow and edging.
The gorgeous snowflake curve is a Marianne Die, Ice Crystal Arch - CR1345 and in stock here at MaddyLisa Crafts! (just sayin'!). Same goes for the Winter Wonderland sentiment - CR1347 and also in stock at MaddyLisa!.

Off to do the weekly shop (boring!) and then hope to carry on making stuff for my first Craft Market this weekend, eeekkk!

Before I go though, do check out the makes of my lovely PFP teamies here, and then come and share your birdy make with us!  You could win two digital images from our fab sponsor, All Dressed Up!
