Christmas in July!

Morning peeps!  Sorry I'm late posting today, but got a nasty sting on my hand yesterday and have been to the Drs who has given me a dose of steroids so hopefully they will kick in soon!
No colouring for me for a few days! :(
Anyhow, today's cards are for the challenge that has started today at Passion for Promarkers with a great theme of Christmas in July as chosen by my lovely teamie, Hazel.  We're being sponsored by one of my favourite illustrators (and who I don't use enough) A Day for Daisies, and I've used their cutie digital image Candy Elf, and made 4 cards!!
Ha, that's good for me - only another hundred or so to go!! I've listed below the shades of red I used as I know some people struggle with these colours - mine is blues, just don't seem to be able to crcack them:
Firebrick (Flexmarker)
Red
Lipstick Red
Salmon Pink
Pastel Pink.

The papers are a mixture of My Mind's Eye and Basic Grey - do you know I have nearly come to the end of The My Mind's Eye pad- that's some going for me!
I've decided to keep them small and simple for this year's Christmas to ensure I keep postage costs down!
Do check out the wonderful makes of my fab teamies here, and come and play along!
Our sponsor, A Day for Daisies is offering a $12 voucher to the lucky winner!

It's all about Fun in The Sun for our Mo Dream Team Blog hop this month!

We have the perfect theme for this month's hop with Mo's Dream Team - Fun in The Sun - we finally had our day of summer yesterday, here in the Lakes - boy was it hot.The theme has been set by our fabulous Kaly and that is also where you should start the hop.  Otherwise, hopefully you have arrived here from Gretha's blog who I just know had something wonderful to share with you.

I've used Shucks for my card, one of my most favourite Mo images, and I do love picking all the veg and fruit as it grows in the garden, so perfect for Fun in The Sun!! It also comes in a boy version here.

I've used two gorgeous pressies from best matey Lesley - the Wonky Stitched Squares Dies and the My Mind's Eye papers - The Sweetest Thing, Tangerine. I've also used some rolled flower dies from Marianne Designs - LR0256 and LR0162

It's time now to send you onto the blog of another awesome Mo  teamie, Gaynor, Don't forget to leave a comment on each of the posts that you visit as you could win a rather lovely $5 voucher to spend in  Mo's Digital Pencil.  AND, your voucher will go rather further at the minute until the end of July as Mo has a 20% off Sale on so don't miss out on that!

Summer Days at Passion for Promarkers

Yayyy, it's my turn to choose the weekly theme at Passion for Promarkers and I've chosen Summer Days.  As well as the images from Mo's Digital Pencil (which I'll link to shortly) I just couldn't wait to use this brand spanking new die set from Marianne.  It makes this box die card and comes with loads of embellishing dies for the branches such as cherries ,apples and chinese lanterns. Such fun to use too - it's part of their July release - CR1374.
The image that I used for the farm building comes from Mo's Digital Pencil and is from the Farm Background stamp.  I think it just added a bit of depth to the little scene,
!

The main image on the front of the box is called Wheelbarrow - I love this image and seems to be me at the moment harvesting fruit, lettuce, rocket and kale.  I've had a bumper crop of raspberries so far this year and have already used 2kg of them to make a batch of jam and I picked another load yesterday
The strawberries aren't as good as last year's crop, I think it's been too wet for them but still plenty for eating!

The lamb is also from Marianne Designs - he looks just like the one who found his way into my herb garden on Sunday morning - he loved my mint plants!  Luckily the farmer came and rescued him as he was nearly Sunday lunch!!

Here's a full list of the Marianne Dies I used:

Box Die Set - CR1374
Lamb - LR0358
Grasses - CR1355
Tiny's Tree - Oak tree die set - CR1338

The box die set was so straightforward to use that I can see me using it the whole time!
My lovely teamies over at PFP have done me proud with their makes for this week's challenge so do check them out here. Then please come along and join in our challenge - we're being sponsored by  Digistamp Boutique this week, and there's a fab £10 voucher up for grabs!
That's all for now folks, happy Tuesday!!

New Mo Image - Suso

I finally managed to put the finishing touches to this card tonight!  I don't know what is wrong with me, I seem to have completely lost my crafting oomph.  NOT my shopping/accumulating of stash, you understand, just using it!!   I must say I couldn't wait to colour up this gorgeous new image from Mo's Digital Pencil - Suso is her name, and here is where you can find her in Mo's store. Mo is also bringing our new images thick and fast at the minute - so original and so must have!!

Anyway I coloured her with my Promarkers, and matched her up with some Marianne papers and of course some Marianne Dies below:

Stitched border - CR1361
Fern - LR0403
Lavender - LR0157
The little heart and round green accent thingies are also Marianne!

The sentiment is from Fiskars ( I think but I've lost the packaging!)

Thanks for stopping by- I'm going to try and muster some mojo from somewhere by checking out a few blogs!!

Elephant

I forgot I hadn't posted this and an elephant never forgets!!  My daughter loves  Elephants so this was her birthday card back in May.  The image was a freebie with a magazine and I tried to conjure up and indian vibe to match the elephant's costune.
The papers are My  Mind's Eye and  I've used the following Marianne items:

Frame/Flourish- LR0236 - Large Ovals by Anja
Rolled Flowers - LR0256

Father's Day Card with Marianne goodies!

This was my card for my Dad for Father's Day here in the UK last month, and look no coloured image!   I just had to use these brilliant new goodies from Marianne, I love the dunes and sand stamp they've just released.  My Dad can often be found down the Norfolk coast bird watching so  rather apt, although I don't think he's interested in your bog standard seagulls!  Any hoo, the full list of Marianne products that I used are below, and take a peek in the Crafts U Love store if you want anything - I find the usually have a good stock of Marianne loveliness!
Must just point out one thing - the eye on the seagull perched on the post was a mark on the paper but matched the eye placement perfectly!

Rope - LR0418
Grass - CR1335
Beach Chair - LR0424
Beach House - LR0422
Seagulls/Posts - CR1279
Grass Stamp - TC0840
Dunes Stamp - CS0969
Stitched Circle Die - CR1360

That's all for now folks!
