Stamping Bella for a change.

I love Stamping Bella images and have a few in my hoard but don't use them nearly enough!  So I was pleased to show this one the light of day and team her up with this lovely sentiment from Lili of the Valley.  I also raided my flower stores which I haven't done for a while.
Oh and I managed to sneak in a Marianne die for the sentiment frame - CR1331 - Basic Round Circle set.
We had the most beautiful day here, despite the cold and this evening the sunset was glorious!  Still no signs of baby putting in an appearance, only a week to go too!

Mo's Dream Team Monthly hop- It's all about the Boys!

Well Howdy Blogland - it's the third Thursday of the month and you know what that means!  Yes, it's time for us gals on Mo's Dream Team to come together and share some Mo makes with you, this month's theme of Boys as chosen by our lovely Lou and that is also where you should have started.  Otherwise, hopefully you have hopped over to me from Gretha's Blog.  (Anyhoo the full order is below should you need it.)

As you can see I have gone with one of Mo's newest images, Sheriff, which is fabulous for boys - love it I do!  I've coloured him with my Promarkers and matched him up with some lovely My Mind's Eye papers.
I also had to use this little cowboy button which I've had for ages but he seemed just perfect for this little guy.
As always, I've used some yummy Marianne design goodies as follows:

Large Star Die - LR0369
Letters - LR0340
Large Horseshoe - LR1296

The small horseshoe is cut with an ancient Provocraft die and I've used some copper Tulip drops for the 'pins' in between the letters.
Well now it's time to send you over to Gaynor's blog who will no doubt have something gorgeous to share with you.  Oh and don't forget to leave a comment on each of the blogs as you visit, as there will be two $5 vouchers to spend in Mo's store hidden along the way!

I've chosen this great new image from Mo's Digital Pencil, Embrace and was my Valentine's card that I didn't give to hubby!  (We tend not to do Valentine's Day)! Still, I wanted to used the image as she does have a lovely head of hair so thought it would be perfect for our theme!

Complete change of style here for me today!  I love this new Mo image called Wall Girl and she's on special at the minute of just $1 here including a digital wall if you so desire!!  Bargain for sure!!  I've coloured her with my Promarkers and then leant her up against a wall using a Marianne Design embossing wall and die combo, together with a new Marianne Grass border, deets below:

A little bit of vintage today

I've spent a lazy Sunday afternoon making this card using a few of my purchases from the Stitching Show at Manchester yesterday.  Have to say that for the long drive, I was a little disappointed with the show, don't know why really, as I found the couple of felting demos and the Every Crafts a Pound stalls fabulous but that was it really, I was however, super impressed by the Trafford Centre which was right next door, so I had a mooch round there after and bought a couple of  baby outfits for Holly's bump!
Any hoo, onto my card, and the items that I bought at the show were the little frame below, and the Memory Box roses corner dies that was reduced. I already had the image and papers from previous shows.
The little face inside the frame above was in a wooden embellishment set from the Works and the metal corner and bark heart below were also in my stash. The background papers are mostly Stampin Up and I've used a ton of Aged Ivory Frantage which I love.  I remember to apply it to the layers prior to sticking them together too so I've made progress!
This gorgeous wooden crinolined lady was from another show - isn't she so elegant and the little flower embelllie was in the same pack as the framed lady.
Finally, the little trinket below was from an old earring set, I love it when my hoarding comes good!
I've also used a Fiskars border punch  for the second roses mat and some fab vintage looking sequins with an added pearl. Oh and aren't the chiffon roses with a pearl centre divine - just wish I could remember where I bought it from.  Of course, there has  to be some Marianne goodness in there and it's that gorgeous new embossed flourish corner which has only just been released! Full details of Marianne products below:

LR0405 - NEW- Flourish Corner die
CR1248 -Stitched Circle Border die

Think it's the last of War and Peace tonight on the box, I just love it. Fire's on and we're all warm and toasty and ready to enjoy!

Make a Wish with a rubber Mo image from Penny Black!

Something a little different from me today if you can spot it?  Yes, I've got my distress markers out to try a bit of water colouring!  And I was able to do this as I've used a rubber stamp, a Mo image yes, but part of the Penny Black range of Mo rubber stamps.  I know there are ways of printing off digi images so that you can use water colours, but this was by far the easiest way for me!! My delightful girl is called Make a Wish and the rubber version is here in the Penny Black online store. Of course, she is also here in digital form from Mo's Digital Pencil.
I have a long way to go with my water colouring skills but was reasonably happy with this first attempt in a long while!!  The rest of my card followed my usual creative process - ie lots of dies and embellies, including Lili of the Valley papers and sentiment, and a pretty heart shaped doily with flowers from my stash. Oh and I have sneaked a Tim Holtz corner die cut in there!
I'm off to Manchester today for the Stitching and Hobbycraft show!  Haven't been to a show in ages so really looking forward to it, even though it's a bit of a drive!
Enjoy your weekend, whatever it entails.
Hugs, Juliexx

A no colour card

If you're like me, you hoard stuff in the belief that you may use it for crafting at some time in the future (and then can't find it when your want it!!).  Well, the image here is one such thing from my hoarding - it came on a calendar block which sported a different vintage/sultry 50s lady for each day of the year.  I knew it was perfect for the recipient, who always looks glamourous, has had a tough few months, and she runs a vintage vibe online store called Rockabetty Stores here. Oh and her daughter takes the most amazing 50's pin up photograph shoots here at Rockabetty Studios.

So no colouring today, but I've still managed to incorporate some of my beloved Marianne products as follows:

Mirror dies - Large and small handheld - LR0321
Tassel dies - LR0391
Rolled Rose Flower dies - LR0163
Paper - Dark Vintage

The fan is from Joanna Sheen, the lipstick is a Memory Box die, and the sentiment is from PTI.

Well, that's one picture out of 365 used - only a few more to go!
