Passion for Promarkers - To Die For Challenge

Hi there, it's time for our new challenge at Passion For Promarkers, with a great challenge chosen by our wonderfully talented Nic, which is to use at least one die or punch,  I love using punches and dies so it wasn't too much of a hardship!

I've used one of Mo Manning's super cute Fairy Babies - Fairy Needle - which you can find here in Mo's store.  Those in the know  will also spot the use of my new favourite crafting technique/embellishment/whatever you want to call it - Frantage embossing!

I cut out  a number of circles with some punches and the added some Aged Silver Frantage Powder to get this gorgeous liquidy, molten effect.  I especially love the effect on the wooden heart button below with all the  texture and colour.
For my flower bouquet, I've used some yummy new gypsophila and floral sprays from The Ribbon Girl - they looked just divine when they came - all packaged up so prettily!  My vintage seam binding is also from The Ribbon girl

Apart from my circle  punches, I used the Tim Holtz On The Edge Sewing and Doily dies, and I cut out my image with a Sizzix tab die. I also frantaged a floral lacy edged border stamp  which you can just see underneath the circle flower.
You can hardly see my papers now, but they were some gorgeous freebie ones from a magazine recently!
Our sponsor for this challenge is Whiff of Joy who are offering the lucky winner one of their yummy stamps!

Check out the rest of Team One's wonderful creations here and I hope you will be inspired to play along with us this week!

Janey's Digi Designs Lupins!

I love tall blue flowery flowers!!  Haha - this is the gorgeous Lupin digi image from Janey's Digi Designs, and I knew it would be perfect for this lovely seed packet freebie image which I downloaded a long time ago and can't remember where from!  (Our resident gardening guru has reliably informed me that the seed packet images are actually Delphiniums - tall, blue flowery flowers!)

I coloured in the image using my Pro and Flexmarkers, and then made a frame with some Go Kreate dies.
I now have two new passions in my card making, Frantage, which I love and have a card coming up soon which I've given the full Frantage treatment, and making little resin embellies with embossing powders!  The little butterfly below was made with Wow! embossing powders and a Martha Stewart  Mould.

I've also added some leaf flourishes and butterflies for some interest and a Marianne basket just waiting to be filled with these gorgeous flowers!  The floral vine on the side was a new purchase from Ally Pally and is by Crafts Too.

Thanks for popping in - big love!!

Howdy Y'all - SNS Challenge 112 - Distressing

Well, Howdy to y'all!  We  have a new challenge starting today at Sketch N Stash,  and it was my turn to choose the optional theme to go with the sketch below, so I chose Distressing.
I've used this rootin' tootin' cutie from Mo's Digital Pencil called Howdy which you can find here.  I've coloured her with Pro and Flexmarkers and layered her up with some My Mind's Eye Howdy Doody papers which even match in name!!  The papers are the item that have been in my stash for a while.
I also added some chicken wire edging around the image and over one of the mats for that extra country feel!  The star banner is a Whiff of Joy Die, and the scrabble tiles, I managed to track down in WH Smith of  all places just before Christmas.
Crafty Individuals are our wonderful sponsors for this fortnight's challenge and you can see a pic of their brilliant prize just below

Take a peek here for the rest of the SNS team's fabulous creations for this challenge.
Hope you have a good week - at least we finally  had some gorgeous sunshine over the weekend!

Basic Grey - Masculine

As it says on my card, Hello There!  This is a card for the  new challenge over at Basic Grey Challenges HQ.  You can probably tell, our theme for this challenge is Masculine ( a groan is echoing through blogland!).  Still they are a necessity and I'm glad to have another one in stock!  The main image is a Hero Arts Cling stamp which I've teamed up with What's Up papers from Basic Grey.  I've then cut out a few more air balloons with a little Memory Box die.  The clouds are also cut with a Memory Box die, and I stamped them with a script stamp just for a bit of detail.  The Birthday Sentiment and banner are from PTI.

As usual, we have our regular sponsor, Simon Says Stamp, offering our regular awesome prize of a $25 voucher to spend in their online store to one lucky winner.
Please just remember to use a Basic Grey item in your project and let us  know what that item is!
I'm also entering my card into the latest Simon Says Stamp Challenge which is for Travel

Enjoy your weekend - there's a rumour going round that we might see some sun here in the UK!

If you're hopping along with us, hopefully you will have arrived here from Iulia's  blog and if you'd like to start at the beginning of the fun, nip on over here to Pat's blog.

I’m using the cutest image called Sunshine - his dear little face reminds me of my little great-nephew, such a sweetie!
I've coloured him with my Promarkers and Flexmarkers, and layered him up on some October Afternoon papers - the little ducks paper is just perfect! You can also see that I've used a mix of clear and blue Tulip drops for the rain!  And, the sunshine sentiment comes with the image.  I also added a few letters from my stash for the other Splish Splosh sentiment, together with the little duck embellie!

This is a preview of all 6 of the new images - I cannot wait to get my hands on these and to see the rest of the teams' makes with them!!

Passion for Promarkers - Button It Up.

Hi there, did we have a weekend - it just seems to have gone by so fast!  I hardly came on my PC at all and I didn't get to make one card!  I did have a lovely time meeting my gorgeous new great niece, Eevee and went to Ally Pally, which was also fabulous!
Back to today's post though, and this is for our new challenge at Passion For Promarkers, with  a great theme of Button It Up as chosen by our lovely Lou!
I need a  baby card soon but I don't whether I need a boy or girl version, so have made this girly one  first and will have to make a boy version too just in case!  I've had this little LOTV image for  a while but never used it before - so bad!
I've distressed the edges and also added some faux stitching round the image.  My papers are mostly DCWV  and the flowers are made with the medium sized Retro Flower punch, again not used for a while!
I've then scattered some  teeny buttons around  to fulfil the brief!
Our sponsor for this week's challenge is the Digi Stamp Boutique who are offering an awesome 6 digi images to the lucky winner!
You can check out the rest of the PFP team's awesome makes here.
I need to catch up with blogland - I'm sure I've missed some stunning creations!!

Fan's Cricket - Mo Manning

I have a yen at the minute to make cards using oriental images and this is the one that I have made first - using Mo's Fan's Cricket which you can find by clicking here! Doesn't she have the most darling little face!
I've coloured her with my Pro and Flex Markers. and cut out the image using a Spellbinder Majestic rectangle die.  Of course, I had to use my little Memory Box cage die - it's identical to the one in Mo's image.
I've made some rolled  flowers using papers from the same pad as my backing papers - My Mind's Eye Honey Cake papers.  There's also a little dragon fly charm hanging from the ribbon tie but my pic hasn't picked it up!  The little heart on a stem die cut came with a selection of die cuts, as a little gift when I made an order with Tracey at Dies to Dies For - I do love little touches like that!!

Friday today - whoop, whoop!!  Ally Pally on Sunday!!!

Sketch N Stash Challenge 111

Hope you've all had a lovely weekend, sadly it's Monday but one good thing is that it's time for our next challenge at Sketch N Stash.  We're going through our back catalogue of sketches and giving them an optional theme which is Embossing for this challenge.
We have two fabulous sponsors this week with two awesome prizes to spend in the following on line stores. Wow, so two lucky  winners!
Prize £10
Prize.....$10
I used the fabulous Paul Typing from Mo's Digital Pencil to make my card for my nephew who is an avid writer so Paul seemed quite appropriate.

For the embossing option, I used a couple of folders that have been in my stash for a while, one with script and one with cogs, to match my cogs embellies.  The typewriter was cut with a Tim Holtz die and the sentiment stamp on top was from a Papermania set which fit perfectly!

Well that's enough writing from me - don't forget to check out the fabulous makes from my SNS teamies here - have a great week!
